6/7/2013 - NC Motorsports had another great weekend this week at Doe Run Raceway. Bill was the pilot this week and looked like a man on a mission. A not so great pill draw stuck him in the 5th starting position in the heat race with current point leader Kyle Jarrett starting on the front row. By lap 4 Bill was able to pass Jarrett for the lead and never look back, setting him up with the pole starting position for the feature.

At the drop of the green for the feature, Bill was able to get by the #44 of Ken Huber to take the top spot and Jarrett followed. By lap 6 they had caught the back of the field and started working through traffic. The #28 and #10 sliced and diced through the lapped cars never seperating from each other until a caution came out on the 10th circuit for the #J316 of Frank Hinkle, setting up a 6 lap shootout to the checkered flag. On the restart, the #10 of Jarrett stayed on the bumper of Bill's mustang and for the last 6 laps tried inside and outside to get by the #28 but Bill was able to hold him off to take his 2nd feature win of the year and 1st of the year at Doe Run Raceway. Next Friday, June 14th, Mark will be behind the wheel at Doe Run Raceway, trying to pull back even with Bill for feature wins this season.
